Essential cookies

We use session cookies from our authentication stack (Better Auth) so that signed-in features work — for example admin tools and posting comments after GitHub sign-in. These cookies are required for those features and are not controlled by the analytics banner.

Optional analytics

When Google Analytics is configured for this site, its scripts load only after you choose Accept. If you choose Reject, or if you have not chosen yet, we do not load Google Analytics. Your choice is stored in this browser (localStorage key papacoder-analytics-consent).

  • Accept — allow Google Analytics on this device/browser.
  • Reject — do not load Google Analytics.

Separate from Google Analytics, we count article views with our own first-party metrics (no raw IP on view events). Those counts power “popular” discovery and are not gated by the analytics banner.

Change or clear your choice

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to show ads on this site. Google and its partners may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve ads, measure performance, and (where allowed) personalize ads. This is separate from the optional Google Analytics banner above — AdSense scripts load as part of normal page delivery for ad serving and site verification.
